Van Gogh's masterpiece Flowering Plum Orchard (after Hiroshige) is the perfect link between Japanese brand Sakura, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and Van Gogh, who was inspired by Japanese prints. Van Gogh created three paintings based on Japanese prints from his own collection, practising the use of colour and the style of the Japanese printmakers.
